GPT2PDF Privacy Policy

GPT2PDF is a Chrome extension that exports ChatGPT conversations to local files such as PDF, HTML, Markdown, and JSON.

Data We Process

GPT2PDF processes the content of the ChatGPT conversation page only when you use the extension to preview or export a conversation. This may include conversation text, code snippets, timestamps, conversation titles, source URLs, and images shown in the conversation.

Data Storage

GPT2PDF stores export preferences and local export history in Chrome extension storage on your device. Exported files are saved through Chrome downloads to your local Downloads folder.

Data Sharing

GPT2PDF does not sell, transfer, or upload your ChatGPT conversation content to our servers. The extension does not operate an external backend service for conversation processing.

When exporting images or assets from a ChatGPT conversation, GPT2PDF may request those assets from the ChatGPT page context or related OpenAI asset domains so the local export can include them. These requests are used only to prepare the local file you asked to save.

Permissions

GPT2PDF uses Chrome permissions only for its single purpose: exporting ChatGPT conversations locally.

• storage: Saves local extension preferences and export history.
• activeTab: Detects and works with the current ChatGPT tab when you trigger an export.
• scripting: Ensures the content script is available on supported ChatGPT pages.
• downloads: Saves exported PDF, HTML, Markdown, JSON, and asset files to your device.
• Host permissions for ChatGPT and OpenAI asset domains: Reads conversation content and related assets from supported ChatGPT pages for local export.

Limited Use Statement

GPT2PDF's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
